Arlington Splash Park

A week before the babies got here my student Ivy came to her lesson wearing her bathing suit. When I asked if she was going swimming after her lesson she said no, but they were headed to the Arlington Splash Park. I tell you what, if you don't have kids you don't know where any of the cool places to go during the summer are. It's like you have to be part of a secret club to be in the know around here. Good thing I have small children I can weasel it out of...

Fast forward a few weeks later: After Lucy and Peter had their violin lessons all the kiddies put on their suits and we loaded up the Honda Odessey. Had I known how warm it was going to be and how inviting the water would look I would have put my suit on as well.

First we hit the park thinking it would be more enjoyable to play while dry rather than while wet.
"Give us a push!"
Favorite part: Henry holding Hazel on. What a good older brother.

Emily wishing she could fit everywhere she wanted...she did sneak down the slide once....
When did we outgrow all the playground equipment?
And then we headed over to the water. It was a perfectly timed reprieve from the heat for the littles and actually quite enjoyable for the grown ups on the benches in the shade.
R-R-R-U-U-U-N-N-N-N-N!!!!!
Nothing's better the a hole with water shooting out of it.
Pure joy.

You can't tell but he's singing me Old MacDonald because all of his smiles looked soooo fake whenever I asked him to look at the camera. I had to catch him off guard.

Look at that face, I mean, really? Can you be any cuter?
