New Shoes and Quirky Claire

Before Claire was born she received some great presents from family, friends, and students. To be honest, I am only now realizing how awesome some of those presents really are. As I'm sure I've said before, now that I have a baby my gift giving at baby showers is transformed. 

These shoes are one of those gifts. 

They snap on and not only do they stay on, they keep your socks on too. 

Maybe a little bright, but a baby can totally pull it off.

Here she is not only showing off her shoes, but also her favorite way to lay on the floor.
She's going to have abs of steel.

Such a pretty baby! This is her Halloween shirt that I love. She probably wore it every other day for the entire month of October. And yes, it did glow in the dark. I almost bought one for next year but they didn't have her size...

 If you leave Claire in the family room all by herself, 9 times out of 10, when you come back this is where she will be. She hasn't gotten stuck yet and for someone who hasn't figured out how to roll over yet, it's pretty impressive.

I've wondered she likes that spot because of the way the wood floors feel or if it is because the heater vent is under there, but at Nana and Papa's yesterday this is what she did...

She stayed like that for almost 15 minutes. I don't know why she likes it, but she does.
Hopefully this means she is going to be a fort maker...I love me a good fort. But by then she probably won't want to play with me anymore.

For the record, she doesn't know how to reverse her way out of this position yet and when she is done, she is most definitely done...
