The Barking Crab

Located in the Fort Point Chanel is a restaurant that is legendary. Across the bridge from James Hook's, where you can buy all the live lobstah and crab you ever wanted, it looks out over the Boston Harbor Walk and the water. For Christmas Eric's sisters gave us a gift card we have been saving for a special occasion and with the onset of beautiful weather we decided it was time.

As talked about as this place is, it is really just a shack that has been hammered together and added onto to get it to where it is today. I felt like I had entered the hut of the walrus and the carpenter from Alice and Wonderland. The ceiling is a tarp and if you sit in the "tent" portion of the dining area (where the wait is usually shorter) you sit at picnic tables, possibly rubbing elbows with other diners--nothing brings two strangers together better than cracking open lobster claws and spraying each other with "juice." Mmmm Mmmm.

It was delish. Thanks ladies. We loved it.
