Planting pots

I know this is going to sound like no big deal to all those people out there who have children and yards and pets and who knows what else but I am thrilled with what I did today. I have been talking about planting pots on our front porch since we moved in and today I did it.

I'm now the proud parent of Rosemary, Thyme, Dill, Oregano, Sage, Basil, and Parsley...with a few Impatience plants my neighbor had left over.

I don't know why I always feel like people are giving me funny looks when I go to Home Depot, but I swear they are...
And yes, I now realize that those two bags of dirt are not going to fit into those two pots.
And I need a trowel because my kitchen spoon will never be that dirty ever again.
