Claire takes Fenway by storm

August 2nd we took Claire to Fenway for the first time. Not yet 3 months old, she did great.

When Claire watches baseball on the TV she looks like this:

Eric likes to refer to it as the Nielson stare. We all do it when we watch TV. It doesn't matter if we are sitting or standing. We get sucked in and then we are mesmerized.

This is what she looked like at the game:

Pretty much the same, right? I think we have a baseball fan on our hands. She even gave the annoying fans to our right a crusty when they cheered ridiculous things that didn't make any sense...

Eric was in charge of tickets and they were awesome. It was a perfect night at Fenway.

By the 6th inning she looked like this.
I always so surprised at how other people, especially in New England, react to Claire.
Everyone thinks she is adorable and is so thrilled to look at and chat about her.
Take the man and his son that sat next to us. They wanted to know all about Claire--how old she is,
if she's sleeping through the night, who she looks more like...So friendly and real.
A panoramic view
By some weird coincidence, Todd was in town for less than 24 hours with two of his friends. We didn't actually get to see him in person but with the camera zoom we did get this shot of them in right field (in between the kid in the mustard colored shirt and the kid with a hat and a blue shirt leaning forward).

For the record, if any of you are coming to Boston from more than half-way across the United States, we'd love to actually see you in person. We know you're busy, but we'd love to, ya'know, take to you lunch or give you a ride or anything.... :)
