We have been planning to go to a movie for several weeks now and somehow between me falling asleep when it gets dark outside (which is around 5pm...) or the busy-ness that is the holidays, we haven't made it. So this week, on our drive back from New Jersey, we made plans: out to eat and then a movie.
I did observations at Hartt all morning/afternoon and when I came home Eric was (almost) ready to go. We got dressed up (which when you aren't going to church, it's cold out, and you are 5 months pregnant can be kind-of tricky...) and headed out to a fancy dinner. While meat has not really been my friend of late, this was amazing. And we ate until it hurt. No lie.
Post dinner we headed to the movies where we settled in for a mere 169 minutes of hobbits, dwarves, ogres, and (why did we buy it? I don't know) popcorn.
It was great. You all should go. And when you get to that part where they are fighting the goblins and then the ogres imagine you are expecting and your little one decides the timpani part is way too cool and that she wants to play. The baby hasn't moved that much ever and while I think it might have been her mirroring back the tenseness I was feeling since I'm a wuss, Eric thinks it was her getting her Tolkien on. We'll have to see.

Seriously... you should write books. You make me smile.
