Every year I make her rolls at least three times. Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Even when I'm out of town for the holiday I leave a pan with my parents to be thawed out and warmed up for their holiday meals and they have been requested twice now with Eric's family and I love making them. Every time I do, I hear her humming to herself as I try to get out of her way in my tiny kitchen. Today she told me that the milk wasn't yet cool enough to mix in with the egg.
And then she complimented me on how soft but not sticky the dough was.
While they might not be as good as hers they definitely keep her close which maybe is why I like making them.
I told her no.
I love the fact the chair has been rocked in so many times that they have been worn down. It adds charm and memory to a chair that has been in the family for a long time. So instead she replaced the missing slat and refinished it and it is just beautiful.
I'm so glad it's back in our living room and ready for May.
All it needs is a few pillows and a little baby and we'll be set.
Those rolls look so delicious. You sure you're not coming to Utah... Love you and miss you.
