Summer at Fenway

We have had two games at Fenway in the past month. Well, Eric's had two games at Fenway. I've only had one. But that's ok. I'm not bitter.

The first was while Nat and Rex were in Portugal and the boys (my dad, Eric, and Henry) went to a game--Henry's first game at Fenway.

Since he was a first timer Henry wanted to make a sign so when the guys in the booth (Don and Jerry) saw it they would send him hot dogs (cause that's what they do for Red Sox newcomers). While he didn't get any hot dogs, he did have a great time. The ladies sitting behind him joined in the cause to get him on TV, the Sox won with a walk off home run by Cody Ross, and he got a hot dog anyway, courtesy of Eric.

Henry making his sign. It eventually reads:
"Hey Don and Jerry!
This is my first game at Fenway.
How about some Hot Dogs?"

And here's the sign Eric printed off at work....
Henry decided it was "WAY better" and left his in the car.

When they won...something to celebrate (especially this year).
August 2nd we went to another game.

Unfortunately there was no win but it was a lovely night in spite of the loss and the sticky heat. Mom and Dad were over a few sections and Mar and Em sat right in front of us (Mary knows a guy...)

Our seats.
This was my first time sitting in the Grand Stand which sounds great--nostalgic and all--but really it's a little cramped. Lucky for us there were two empty seats on the ends of our rows so we didn't have to smoosh together.
Waiting for Mary and Eric to arrive (we caught a ride with Mom and Dad)

Our view of the field.
We were really tired...you can see it in our eyes.
But nothing a Fenway Frank and a souvenir cup of soda can't fix.
